Sharktech is an internet infrastructure company with roots in DDoS protection. Since 2003, we have helped keep businesses and communities connected through an internet that continues to change.

WHERE WE STARTED
A company shaped by the need to stay online.
Sharktech began in 2003 with a focus on a problem that could bring an entire online business to a halt: distributed denial-of-service attacks. Protection was a foundation of the company, influencing how we built our network and how we responded when customers needed help.
That experience made availability a practical responsibility. Behind every connection is someone doing their work, running a business or serving a community. Keeping that connection available has remained central to our company as the internet has grown.
Over time, our work expanded into cloud computing, dedicated infrastructure, storage and colocation. The technology has evolved; the underlying purpose has stayed the same.

Still led by our original founder.
Sharktech remains driven by its original founder, without external investors influencing the company’s direction. That independence allows us to set our own priorities and plan for the long term.
Our focus remains on the infrastructure we operate, the people who build and support it, and the customers who rely on us.

Protection developed in-house
Sharktech develops its DDoS mitigation technology in-house. Our specialists continue to review and adapt those systems as attack patterns and the needs of the network change.

Our technical team is available 24/7/365. Supporting infrastructure means being present beyond office hours and taking responsibility when people depend on it.

Operating across physical hardware, virtualization and networking has given our team a view of infrastructure as a connected system. Power, connectivity, storage and software all contribute to the experience of the people who depend on them.
We work with technology partners, hardware providers and network operators to maintain that system. Those relationships complement the experience we develop in our own engineering and support teams.
