We’re always working on enhancing the Sharktech network and we’d like to tell you about an update we’re doing to our network. Even with our top Tier transit providers, we decided to take it one step further to find the best possible way to improve our network. You may have even noticed on your own – our network just got a whole lot better.
We have recently added Noction. Noction enhances our connectivity to you by intellegently selecting the best route from our transit providers. With this intellegent routing, we can reduce latency, packet loss, and jitter. Traditional BGP simply routes your traffic by selecting the route with the fewest AS hops, even if that involves going over a congested connection somewhere during the route. With Noction, routes are selected on performance rather than distance, ensuring the best possible performance. For those who are less technical, Noction works a little like Google Maps when it sees traffic ahead and suggests you take a faster but longer route.
There is no risk of downtime for this network upgrade, but we wanted to make sure you heard about the improvement.
